Where It All Began – 2016
Our journey started quietly, like the first page of a book yet to be written. In 2016, a simple piece of information from Vani’s cousin — who was also Yoga’s high school friend — brought us into each other’s orbit. We learned we were enrolled in the same major: Information Technology at Udayana University. That small discovery led to exchanged numbers, casual messages about classes, and then… silence. Life took us on different paths — for a while.

Six years passed. Then, as if the universe had gently turned the page, our story resumed. We met again during a hiking trip to Mount Batur, arranged by mutual friends. Beneath the golden sunrise and the crisp mountain air, something unspoken stirred between us — a feeling both familiar and new. That day, our hearts remembered what our minds had long forgotten.

From that moment on, our bond grew stronger with every shared laugh and conversation. We discovered joy in the simplest things — from dancing to live music at concerts, to late-night cafe talks, chasing sunsets, and exploring viral food spots. In the rhythm of our days, we found unexpected harmony — in our hobbies, our favorite songs, and the way we saw the world. With every passing moment, it became clearer: we were never strangers, only two souls waiting to find each other again.

Under the soft light of a setting sun, at Gunung Payung Beach, Yoga asked Vani to be his. He came bearing a bouquet of 13 tulips — her favorite flower — each one a symbol of his growing love. That beach, kissed by waves and wrapped in quiet beauty, became a sacred place for us. That day, two hearts spoke the same language, and our love story officially began.
This is our story — a tale of timing, destiny, and a love that found its way back home.
Almost three years later, Yoga came to Vani’s home — not alone, but with his parents and a ring, filled with promises. With love in his eyes and certainty in his heart, he asked to take the next step. Our families met that day, their conversations weaving dreams of the future. It was more than just a proposal; it was a promise of forever — of choosing each other, again and again, through all seasons of life.
